People of Makassar Camera: Hasselblad 500C Film: Kodak Ektar 100 location: Makassar Country: INDONESIA

The wonderful result of a photographic exploration of the guts of Makassar. There I was met by defying looks that quickly evolved into smiles and laughter. These noisy places both sonically and visually produced powerful photographs, full of emotion and raw beauty. I am personally found of the pastel colours and washed effect while retaining contrasts from using Ektar 100 film with a tripod (yes I was sticking out like a sore thumb in the meanders of the fish market).
