ABOUT

Welcome to mono no aware journal, a photographer’s sanctuary where the lens becomes a bridge, connecting the ephemeral with the eternal. Here, the dance of light and shadow, colour and form, is celebrated in the spirit of "mono no aware," the Japanese concept of profound awareness of life's impermanence.

I started this journal after years of trying to figure out what I really like about photography. Chasing the perfect shot, which was escaping from me wherever I went, invariably leading to disappointment. I was missing the point: every shot has a story.

With time I’ve learned to appreciate those imperfect photographs for what they are, an instant narrated with light.

This photography journal depicts my ever-changing moods and tastes through my Hasselblad 500C, Sony A7s or Olympus OM-D. It has no pretention but sharing minimalist subjective beauty to those who possess the discernment to truly embrace it.
